Based on Aaron Blabey’s best-selling children’s books in the New York Times, DreamWorks Animation’s adaptation of “The Bad Guys” was a huge hit for Universal in 2022. It tells the story of a group of anthropomorphic animals known as the “Bad Guys,” who try to change society’s perception of them as criminals by doing good deeds. Three years later, the posse all makes a comeback in “The Bad Guys 2,” which opens in theaters in the summer of 2025.
Everyone’s favorite criminals are back, and they have company this time. Grammy winner Anthony Ramos as Mr. Piranha, Emmy winner Awkwafina as hacker Ms. Tarantula, also known as “Webs,” Academy Award winner Sam Rockwell as Mr. Wolf, SAG award nominee Marc Maron as safe-cracker Mr. Snake, and SAG award nominee Craig Robinson as master-of-disguise Mr. Shark are all returning for “The Bad Guys 2.”
Oscar nominee Danielle Brooks (“The Color Purple”) plays the role of Bad Girls leader Kitty Kat, a dangerously cunning snow leopard; Oscar nominee Maria Bakalova (“Borat Subsequent Movie Film”) plays Pigtail, a brilliant Bulgarian wild boar engineer; and Emmy nominee and comedy icon Natasha Lyonne (“Russian Doll,” “Poker Face”) plays Doom, a wry raven with a talent for deceit. These three comedic powerhouses join the returning voice cast as The Bad Girls.
