Walton Goggins, a renowned actor, has hinted at a bigger and better Season 2 of Prime Video’s Fallout. Goggins, who has been working on the series since November, expressed his satisfaction with Season 1 and the quality of the story. He said that the writers and artisans who have come together to tell the story are working hard to make it happen, and he is eagerly awaiting the release of the second season. Goggins’s announcement comes as viewers wait for the return to the apocalyptic wasteland.
He tells Deadline, “We’re in the middle of filming it right now, we’ve been at it since November, and I can tell you that I thought Season 1 was extraordinary, personally, I was very pleased with it,” he said. “This blows it out of the water, what these writers have done and the artisans that have come together to tell this story. It’s really gonna be something. I can’t wait for people to see it. We’re working really hard to make that happen.”
The hit TV series Fallout, based on the acclaimed video game franchise, is making a major production shift, moving its filming location from New York to Los Angeles. The relocation comes after the show secured a substantial $25 million tax credit from the California Film Commission, reinforcing the state’s appeal as a prime destination for high-profile productions.
Set in a post-apocalyptic world, Fallout follows the survivors of luxury fallout shelters who emerge 200 years after nuclear devastation, only to find themselves navigating a dangerous and decayed retrofuturistic landscape. The series, which blends dark humor, action, and social satire, has captivated both longtime fans of the game and newcomers alike.
The show boasts an impressive creative team, with executive producers Jonathan Nolan, Lisa Joy, Geneva Robertson-Dworet, and Graham Wagner steering the adaptation. Its star-studded ensemble cast includes Ella Purnell, Aaron Moten, Kyle MacLachlan, Moisés Arias, Sarita Choudhury, Michael Emerson, Leslie Uggams, Frances Turner, Dave Register, Zach Cherry, Johnny Pemberton, Rodrigo Luzzi, Annabel O’Hagan, and Xelia Mendes-Jones.
With its relocation to Los Angeles, Fallout is poised to take full advantage of California’s film industry resources, ensuring a visually immersive experience that remains true to the beloved game’s dystopian universe.
