Warner Bros. Is Selling 10 Functional Batmobile For $3 Million Each

Ten fully operational but illegal Tumbler Batmobiles, akin to those in Christopher Nolan’s THE DARK KNIGHT, are being sold by Warner Bros.

The vehicles will be powered by a 6.2-liter LS engine with 525 horsepower and 486 pound-feet of torque, just like the actual stunt vehicles.

Power is transferred to the wheels via a GM 4L85-E transmission.

The paddle shifters that come with the package allow for some manual control.

The Tumblers weigh 5,511 pounds when fully assembled and are constructed from a steel tube space frame, sheet metal fiberglass, carbon fiber, and Kevlar. It isn’t permitted on the street.

With the addition of a smoke-screen delivery system, a simulated jet turbine powerplant, and fake gun turrets, each vehicle maintains an on-screen appearance. With two seats and a five-point racing harness for each, the interior is reportedly movie-accurate. However, customers have the option to personalize the interior by choosing between left- or right-hand steering.

According to reports, Wayne Enterprises, a new WB partnership with PR firm Relevance International, will sell each of the ten tumblers for $2.99 million.

If you were wealthy, would you purchase one?
